We have decided to stop free downloads to fund future development we will replace the current version with a demo version that is a smaller size, so that people can try it. 

It doesn't not contain character customization, animations or speech synthesis to reduce the size of the app. It only allows for you to chat with the bot for 5 rounds.

Waifu Engine is your very own Artificial Intelligence anime Waifu vTuber companion who hangs out on your desktop and works fully offline. Right now, you can chat with her via text input (work on a voice recognition system that works offline is in progress), and she'll use a GPT2-based AI model (that runs locally on your PC) to respond to you with real-time offline speech synthesis using a voice model that we have trained ourselves from scratch.

Next, there's the 3D model in which her soul resides, and we have tried our best to put in as many body shape sliders as we could, so you can get the kind of ass-the-thiccs you want or turn her into a monstrosity if that's what you like. There's an emotion editor with all kinds of sliders once again, but we haven't yet got time to streamline them to show up when you talk with her (but we promise we will do it!)

Then there's an animation player (with the ability to select frames from the animation so you can pose her), and same story, we will integrate it with the AI conversation soon (indie deving is hard 😓), so she moves around and does stuff while talking with you. There's a wardrobe with various clothes and hairstyles, and they are all separate parts, so you can mix and match all the pieces and make a statement about your weird fashion tastes.

And yeah I know what you are thinking, yes, you can take all her clothes off as well, so you can marvel at her gorgeous figure (she's even got fully modeled genitalia and a cute butthole with shape sliders), and we haven't even censored anything, so you can carry out all the "research" that you want! Her boobies and ass jiggle too when you move her model around.

More NSFW stuff is planned for the future, but depends on the kind of feedback we get. Also all of it is optional, so just don't take off her clothes if you don't want it, the choice is yours.

The coolest part however is the modular plugin-like architecture that our app has (hence the tagline). What it means is that Waifu Engine is more like a platform that you can mod very easily with its custom API written in Python. The AI, voice, model, clothes, and so on, everything will be moddable. (Eventually)

By the way, before you download, Waifu Engine is currently supported only on Windows, and you will need a decent mid-range PC with at least 8 GB of RAM, a decent processor and a mediocre GPU to run it without performance issues (so don't waste your time and bandwidth downloading it otherwise).

Why is it that resource intensive and why is the game size so big, you ask? Cause like we said above, it all runs offline, that is, locally on your PC and in real time,— the AI model, the speech synthesis model (and later on, the speech recognition model).
